Please note that effective July 1, 2018 we will be increasing our adoption fee to $275 for adult dogs and $275 + $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit for puppies. Hi, my name is Rudy. My foster mom tells me everyday how funny and handsome I am.

I've been living with her for about a year. When I first met her I didn't like her. I didn't like people in general. I was very scared and didn't let anyone come close to me. But she has this big dog that I adore! He's my best friend and has taught me all sorts of things. With him I feel safer in the scary world. I'm hoping my new home will have a dog who I can be friends with and keep learning from.

I'm very much a husky, though I might have some other breed mixed in me. I am chatty and dramatic and I pull on the leash! All the things I'm bred to do.

It takes me a bit to warm up and feel safe with new people, so I'm going to need a patient family to help me keep gaining confidence and learning.

Kennels are a scary place so I don't go in them. I sometimes take an occasional sock, hand towel, slipper or pillow to different rooms. I'm learning not to, and especially that my mom doesn't like it if I chew on those things!

I've met some kids, and they seem fun and have been nice to me, but I've not lived with them, so that could be an adjustment, but one I think I'd be good with after a little bit.

I need to take new things slow. Doorways and collars really used to freak me out. Now I'm much better, but strange places still cause me some anxiety and require coaxing.

Please don't pick me up. I sort of let my foster mom pick me up now... she calls it practice, but I just get really frozen and wait for her to put me down. I don't like it.

I am not a huge hugger, but I do love belly rubs and scratches whenever I can get them!

I love playing. I'm young and have lots of energy. More than my big brother, but I do my best not to bother him if he's getting tired. Sometimes my mom will play tug, or wrestle a bit with me and that's fun too. I like toys, but my brother eats most of them so I only get them sometimes!

If you would like to know more about me, or to try meeting me you should fill in an app and you can talk to my mom. She can tell you lots more about who I am. She thinks I'm awesome after all!
Thanks for learning about me.
