Why Foster?
Fostering is an essential part of our PACK Project and is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By temporarily taking a dog into your home, you are giving your foster dog the time he/she needs to be ready for adoption.
becoming a foster
Once your application form is complete, The Pack Project will contact you and arrange a time for a home visit. The home visit is done to introduce you to The Pack Project and explain what we are all about. It will also give you a chance to ask any questions you may have about becoming a foster. We like to chat with you about your ideal dog so that we can choose a dog with the personality and temperament that will match you. We truly believe that a good fit is essential for a successful stay in foster care and a successful transition to a new home. The foster dogs live with our foster families as part of the family. Once you are accepted, you will be assigned a team leader, and that will be your first contact for any additional questions that may arise.
The Pack Project covers all costs associated with our dogs in foster care. We have supplies of donated food, toys, beds, leashes and collars, treats and many other things you may need. We also cover vet costs for spay/neuter operations, vaccinations and any further medical care that is required.
The Pack Project offers a supportive Foster Program for dogs of all ages. For further information about our Foster Program, contact us at thepackprojectfosters@hotmail.com.
