How you can help
Want to help, but not sure where to start? Here's a few ways you can contribute to our PACK:
- Volunteering - We're always looking for friendly volunteers to help lead our pack.
- Donations - Any and all donations of food, toys, treats, etc. are always welcome.
- Foster - We're always looking for foster homes to help care for unwanted, stray and surrendered dogs.
- Share- Help us spread the word!

The Pack Project Inc. is currently seeking four (4) volunteer positions on our Board of Directors effective April 1, 2022. Training and support will be provided as you transition into your role. Application deadline March 6, 2022. Please email your cover letter indicating your desired position and current resume to thepackproject@hotmail.com
Treasurer (Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours/month and 2 hour board meeting bi-monthly)
Responsibilities include:
Volunteer Coordinator (Time Commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours/month and 2 hour board meeting bi-monthly)

Outreach Coordinator (Time Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours/month and 2 hour board meeting bi-monthly)

Treasurer (Time Commitment: Approximately 2 hours/month and 2 hour board meeting bi-monthly)
Responsibilities include:
- Processing of payment for monthly bills
- Updating the General Ledger
- Preparing year-end Financial statements (this is an additional 3 hours of time for this item)
- Reporting to the Board of Director the financial report of the agency at board meetings.
Volunteer Coordinator (Time Commitment: Approximately 1-2 hours/month and 2 hour board meeting bi-monthly)
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating volunteers for activities (i.e. adoption events, hot dog sales, fundraisers)
Outreach Coordinator (Time Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours/month and 2 hour board meeting bi-monthly)
Responsibilities include:
- Create work party events on Volunteer Facebook page (party is every 2nd Sunday)
- Find and organize drivers for each work party (we have a list of volunteer drivers)
- Liaise with Loblaws to ensure appropriate staffing and trucks are available.
- Attend work party every second Sunday
- Organize pick ups from partners, find volunteers to meet them if the partners cannot come during a work party.
- Send inventory information (what’s received and from whom and what’s given and to whom) for tracking purposes
- Purchase supplies: tape, garbage bags, etc.
Responsibilities include:
- Posting relevant content on social media accounts (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook)
- Maintaining website
- Monitoring email and social media messages
- Creation of social media graphics (Photoshop subscription is supplied by The Pack Project)
