Good with other dogs: Yes, but she needs time to get to know any new dog before she is ready to be friends. Once she is comfortable, she’s very playful and loves to chase and wrestle. Hello! My name is Quinn (or Quinny or Quinnigan) I came into rescue in pretty rough shape after fending for myself for the first year of my life. Today, they tell me that I have hit my goal weight, at just under 50 lbs. My foster family always tells me that I’m a very smart girl and despite only ever being an outside dog, I picked up on the rules of being a house dog quickly. I love afternoon couch naps and snuggling with anyone and everyone. I’m also kennel trained and although I don’t love going into my kennel (mostly because that means I can’t be with my people), once I am in, I sleep through the night without making a peep. I get along great with everyone in the house, including my foster brother, 3-year-old human foster sister, 2 cats, and even 2 guinea pigs. Slow, controlled introductions and close supervision by my foster family set me up nicely for success. If I go to a forever home with another dog, I would appreciate some patience while I learn to trust my new friend. My ideal forever home would be an active person or family who can make sure that I am both physically and mentally stimulated. While I might look full grown, my foster family says that I am very much still a puppy at heart and have a lot of puppy energy that needs to be channeled appropriately and put to good use. Just like a puppy, I’m still learning what kinds of things I should and shouldn’t chew on and use as a toy but once you explain it to me, I catch on quickly. I’ve been having a lot of fun learning new tricks with my foster dad over these past two months. I have even gone to the dog tricks class that he teaches to show off my skills. My foster dad tells me that I would be great at a variety of other dog sports like scenting, Barn Hunt, agility, and rally obedience, but I am not sure what those are. I really like treats! I will do pretty much anything you ask of me as long as you are patient and reward me with something tasty. If you are interested in adopting Quinn please fill out an application at http://www.thepackproject.ca/adoption-application.html We strongly encourage you to read through the FAQS to ensure you qualify and understand the adoption process. http://www.thepackproject.ca/adoption-faqs.html Due to the vast number of email inquiries we receive on our adoptable dogs we ask that any interested party submit an application if there is a dog you are interested in adopting and/or meeting. |
